Gandhi Jayanti On October 2 2024

On October 2, 2024, in observance of Gandhi Jayanti, V. Pulla Rao Somaiah Velpula, Deputy Chief Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh State Unit of the "Human Rights & Social Justice Mission," led a charitable initiative at an old age home in Mangal Village, Nandigama, NTR District, Andhra Pradesh. The team distributed free sarees, lungis, and blankets to 50 residents, embodying Mahatma Gandhi's principles of compassion and service to humanity.Gandhi Jayanti, celebrated annually on October 2nd, marks the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. This day is dedicated to honoring his legacy of non-violence, truth, and selfless service. Such acts of kindness and support for the elderly resonate with Gandhi's teachings and contribute to fostering a more compassionate.
